Control social media with your AI

Connect Claude and other AI assistants to Mixpost through MCP. Draft, schedule, and publish across every network just by chatting.

MCP (Model Context Protocol) is an open standard for connecting AI assistants to the tools and data they work with. The Mixpost MCP server brings Mixpost into that ecosystem, so an assistant can manage your social media the same way you would in the dashboard.

What you can do with the MCP server

Hand the busywork to your assistant and keep full control of what goes out and when.

Draft posts with AI

Ask your assistant to write and refine captions, then drop them straight into Mixpost ready to publish.

Schedule by chatting

Tell the assistant when to publish and it queues your posts to the right accounts at the right time.

Manage every network

Create content for Facebook, Instagram, X, LinkedIn, and more without leaving your conversation.

You stay in control

Your assistant drafts and queues posts, but you decide what actually goes out and when. Because Mixpost is open source, every action is transparent and runs against your own account.

Works with your tools

Connect any MCP-compatible client, including Claude, Cursor, and Hermes, with more added as they adopt the standard.

Future-proof, no lock-in

Built on an open standard with an open source server, new MCP assistants work with Mixpost the day they launch, so you're never tied to one AI vendor or waiting on a custom integration.

How it works

Connect your assistant once, then post in plain language.

1
Generate an auth key

In Mixpost, create an authentication key for your assistant to connect with.

2
Add the MCP server

Drop your Mixpost URL and key into the MCP settings of Claude, Cursor, Hermes, or any compatible client.

3
Post in plain language

Ask the assistant to draft, schedule, or publish, and it does the rest inside Mixpost.

MCP server endpoint

The MCP server is exposed over streamable HTTP at a single endpoint on your instance https://example.com/mixpost/mcp with Authorization: Bearer <personal access token>.

Mixpost MCP FAQ

What is MCP?
MCP is an open standard that lets AI assistants securely connect to external tools and data. Mixpost ships an MCP server that connects your Mixpost to those assistants.
Which AI assistants work with Mixpost?
Any MCP-compatible client, including Claude Desktop and Claude Code. As more apps adopt MCP, they will work with Mixpost too.
Which tools does the Mixpost MCP server provide?
The server exposes a set of MCP tools mapped to Mixpost actions, such as list-workspaces, get-workspace, list-accounts, get-account, and list-posts for reading your data, along with tools to draft, update, and schedule posts. Each tool respects the permissions of your access token. See the full tool reference in the Mixpost MCP docs.
Does my data stay private?
Yes. The MCP server uses your own API token and acts only on your behalf, so your connected accounts, tokens, and content stay private to your Mixpost. Mixpost is open source, and you can self-host it so your data and the AI integration stay entirely on your own server.
What can the AI actually do in Mixpost?
Draft and refine posts, schedule them to your connected accounts, and manage your content calendar, all through natural language.
Do I need to write code?
No. Connect the MCP server to your assistant once, then work in plain language. Developers can still call the underlying Mixpost API directly when they need to.
